Born in Shanghai in October, 1965, Li Lei graduates from Shanghai Huashan Art School and is now the executive
curator for the Shanghai Art Museum. With a professional art background, Li Lei has dedicated himself to his
executive career for more than 10 years, but he has always yearned to reinforce, cultivate, and practice art
creation. Since 1996, he has focused on Chinese Abstraction and searches for a contemporary path of Chinese
Abstract Art between the Chinese major artistic conceptions and international mature abstract art language. Li
Lei has created an impressive series of abstract works, and has held many solo exhibitions domestically and
abroad.
